Velocity is built on a simple principle: your browser activity is yours alone. The extension operates entirely within your browser's sandbox — no servers, no telemetry, no exceptions.

Short version: Velocity collects nothing, stores nothing remotely, and contacts no external servers. Ever.

Data Collection

We believe in absolute user privacy. The extension does not collect, record, log, store, or transmit any personally identifiable information, search histories, browsing histories, or data streams.

Local Data Storage

All custom user settings — such as speed steps, custom hotkeys, and excluded domains — are saved completely locally within your browser's secure sandboxed container via the standard Chrome Extension Storage API (chrome.storage.local). This data is never synchronized with outside cloud servers or accessible by third parties.

Network Connectivity

The extension operates completely offline. It does not perform any outbound web requests, network tracking, or communication with remote APIs.

Policy Updates

If future updates require new capabilities, this policy will be updated immediately. Users will be prompted by the browser if permission changes are requested.
